Policies & Procedures
DEPOSITS
A 10% or $50 deposit is due in order to book a date.
The deposit is non refundable. It can be transferred towards another shoot if the original shoot is rescheduled at least 7 days before the initial date. Fail to reschedule will cause the deposit to be null.
RIGHTS
MSP owns the photographs taken, and has the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, edit, print and publish for business purposes.
The client has permission to use images taken of themselves for personal use such as portfolio, print, and/or social media accounts with proper credit given to Margherita Andreani Photography Inc.
FILTERS AND RE-EDITS ARE PROHIBITED.
Both the photographer AND the client cannot be held liable for any misuse or mis-credit of the images by others once placed online in digital format.
EXCLUSIVE PHOTOGRAPHY RIGHTS:
In order to provide the best service, no other photography (including videography) may take place during the photography session as this can interfere with lighting, create unnecessary distractions, shadows and even ruin a perfect image opportunity.
Therefore, it is understood that upon contracting MAP as your photographer, that any and all other photographers and videographers, professional or otherwise, will not be allowed to neither interfere nor dictate photography during the contracted time.
IMAGES
The # of images included in each booking is listed in each package.
Images may be downloaded from the private gallery but not screenshot. Screenshot-ing the images will deter their quality.
Clients will NOT receive every image taken. MAP chooses those that meet the quality standards.
Images will be delivered in High Resolution JPEG format. MAP does not guarantee a minimum number of images in client’s final image gallery. Under no circumstance will MAP release RAW image files. Selected images will be color corrected and slightly edited for presentation. MAP retains complete control over which images are delivered in color and which images are delivered in black and white.
For retouching: more images may be added to your final gallery for a fee.
MAP is not responsible for the storage of images after 30 days.
ILLNESS
MAP may substitute another photographer to take the photographs in the event of MAP’s illness or scheduling conflicts. In the event of such substitution, MAP warrants that the photographer taking the photographs or video shall be a competent professional.
LATENESS
Clients must arrive to their session at their scheduled start time. If client is late the session time will not be extended or rescheduled.
Refunds or credits are not available for portrait sessions cut short or entirely missed due to a client’s late arrival.
If the schedule permits, the client may pay a a fee to make up for the lost time.
RESCHEDULING / CANCELLATION
If a client wishes to cancel or reschedule their session it must be done via email and acknowledged by MAP 48 hours prior to the session date.
If client wishes to reschedule they will have 30 days from the original session date before session expires. In the event of an expired session or cancellation the client will not receive any type of refund or credit for future services with MAP. Reminder that the initial deposit is non-refundable.
STUDIO
I conduct my sessions at the Headquarters Studio in LIC/ Astoria, Queens, New York. The cost of sessions include the studio equipment and hourly fees. Another studio can be used, but that will be at an extra cost.
